Floral painted paper mache lacquered trays - one with a red background and one with a black background. These are marked ISCO Occupied Japan and were made in 1944-1951 when US forces occupied Japan after WWII.
These trays are so charming and they would be great on a side table, bar or vanity for keys, change, etc or simply as table decor.
There is normal wear given their age and some of the painting is chipped.
